About the Associated Organisation

The associated organisation is The Real News Network (TRNN) a non-profit video-news and documentary service that reports international, national, and local news. They are viewer-supported and do not accept advertising, corporate money, or government funding. They believe that a vibrant public media ecosystem is essential to maintaining a healthy democracy. Since 2007, the more than ten thousand stories they've produced have been viewed over 200 million times.

They regularly screen socially relevant films to create opportunities for the public to learn more about contemporary topics. These fictional and documentary films both address sociopolitical issues and celebrate our rich cultural history.

By thoroughly examining the effects of policy on the everyday lives of citizens, we can create a more politically aware populace of voters. Through promoting inter-community dialogue and providing a public forum where people can share their ideas, we can create opportunities for collaboration and collective action. Only an informed and engaged electorate will produce a political system capable of meeting the greatest challenges of our time.
